Dust in the light

Lights out. Bride dead.

On the eve of their wedding, Olivia and Freddy’s jitters have nothing to do with excitement. Their relationship has been on the rocks for three years, and a big party is exactly what they need to turn over a new leaf—good thing big weddings always go off without a hitch.Olivia’s childhood friend, Sarah, arrives during the welcome drinks and, with one smile, opens old wounds better left undisturbed. It’s been three years since she last saw the betrothed and their mutual friends, but she’s still in love with the groom. As a storm brews overhead, the seven friends gather for a reunion where every look is laced with meaning and every word as sharp as a dagger. Once the lights die, two friends go to sleep, one ends up in the wrong bed, another has their ears glued to the walls, two hearts are broken, and the bride is murdered. The next morning, Sarah finds Olivia’s body, strangled with flowers adorning her hair. Trapped by the storm, the friends scramble, through lies and drunken hazes, to piece together the events of the previous evening and find the killer hidden in their midst.
